Frank & Helen's: Creamy Garlic Salad Dressing

The Creamy Garlic Salad Dressing served at Frank & Helen's was original owner Helen Wentzelman's creation, and a closely guarded secret. The "secret" was the Bernice Mayonnaise base, a mayonnaise which is no longer manufactured. It was a heavy mayonnaise, rich in oil and egg yolk, creating a denser, more luxurious texture. While the later recipe called for granulated garlic, Helen's original recipe used fresh garlic.
