City Cousin: Artichoke Tocco

Lynn Smith's City Cousin restaurant has three iterations – the first at 4111 Lindell. She described her restaurant as "Country French, like Balaban's, and I stole most of their business. It was innovative cooking at the time, with heavy sauces."

Ingredients

  • 16 oz real mayonnaise

  • 8 oz grated Parmesan cheese

  • 2 8-oz cream cheese

  • 2 cans artichoke heart quarters (in water)


Preparation

Let the cream cheese soften. Roughly chop artichokes. Thoroughly mix all ingredients in deep baking dish. Bake at 350 until bubbly (around 45 minutes).
