Cheshire Inn: Horseradish Sauce

The Cheshire Inn's horseradish sauce was served with prime rib. The four-ingredient sauce is tasty over a variety of meats, including boiled beef and corned beef.

Yield: 3/4 cup


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 2 Tbsp prepared horseradish

  • 2 Tbsp Seasoned Vinegar (see below)


Preparation

Combine all ingredients. If making in advance, cover and refrigerate.


Seasoned Vinegar

  • 2 cups cider vinegar

  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

  • 2 1/2 Tbsp salt

  • 2 tsp ground black pepper

Stir until sugar and salt are completely dissolved. Keeps indefinitely; stir before using.

Yield: 3 cups
